Two ‘migrants’ identified as Venezuelan man and his young daughter drowned in the Rio Grande while attempting to cross into Texas this week, according to reports.
On Thursday, NewsNation correspondent Ali Bradley reported on the tragedy, which unfolded near Eagle Pass, TX.
“Sources confirm a man and his 5 y/o daughter from Venezuela drowned as they were swept away in the Rio Grande today while attempting to cross into the U.S. illegally,” Bradley stated on social media.

After a relative lull for much of 2024, illegal crossings into Eagle Pass and the rest of Texas are spiking again.
On Friday, Bradley reported that two massive groups of illegals had already strolled into the Eagle Pass area by 8 a.m.
Sources informed Bradley that the second group consisted of 140 ‘migrants,’ at least 17 of whom were ‘unaccompanied minors.’

The vast majority of them are from
Venezuela, Ecuador and Honduras.
