Border Agents Rescue Boy ‘Heavily Dosed With Sleep Aids’ by Child Trafficker

SHARE:

A very young boy who had been drugged by a child trafficker was rescued by U.S. Border Patrol (USBP) agents in California.

On Friday, USBP El Centro Sector Chief Gregory Bovino shared information about the disturbing encounter.

“Sometimes we encounter criminal actions so horrendous they defy human decency,” Chief Bovino explained on social media.

“The Premier Sector rescued this child from a trafficker who heavily dosed him w/ sleep aids to prevent him from talking to agents.”

Bovino also revealed the trafficker was found to be in possession of a variety of children’s birth certificates.

No other information about the bust was made available.

Bovino shared information about other arrests aided by El Centro Sector agents this week, including two convicted murderers from Colombia who entered the U.S. illegally.

Both killers were apprehended deep in the interior of the U.S. but it is unclear if they were previously encountered by border agents or slipped into the country as ‘gotaways.’
