A Guatemalan male who snuck across Joe Biden’s open southern border was arrested in Florida this week for trying to steal a high-value horse.
The disturbing incident unfolded at around 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday in Broward County.
A male suspect snuck into a barn holding three horses worth roughly $60,000 at a residence in Southwest Ranches.
The shirtless suspect attempted to place a saddle on a white Paso Fino named Dulcera but the animal managed to break free, surveillance footage shows.
Homeowner Frank Espinosa returned home from an appointment and observed equipment scattered across his property and Dulcera roaming outside at an odd time of day, Local 10 reports.
Espinosa and his wife confronted the suspect, who they say appeared dazed and possibly on drugs.
The man took off running, but Espinosa followed him in his car and called local authorities.
Davie Police Department officers arrested Marlon Arturo Chay Huix, 19, and linked him to another local break-in.
Chay Huix was charged with burglary of an unoccupied dwelling and obstructing an officer without violence.
Additionally, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has lodged a detainer against Chay Huix, who is in the U.S. illegally.
“Marlon Chay Huix is an illegal criminal alien from Guatemala. He was encountered by ICE-ERO officers following his arrest in Broward County for burglary,” ICE told Border Hawk.
“Huix entered the country illegally March 10, 2022, through Sasabe, Arizona, without inspection and is in violation of immigration law.”

Chay Huix is being held on $15,500 bond.
