Gunshots erupted on Saturday night in a trendy Washington, D.C. neighborhood — hours ahead of a planned crackdown on lawlessness in the nation’s capital by the federal government.
Border Hawk White House correspondent Wid Lyman was on-scene as more than 100 ‘youths’ swarmed the upscale enclave, terrorizing businesses, local residents, and visitors.
The violent ‘teens’ discharged fireworks, menaced bystanders, and tore through parks and intersections on dirt bikes and various electric vehicles.
Shortly before 9:30 p.m., law enforcement had encircled the group and were preparing to deploy non-lethal force to disperse the thugs and hooligans when a suspect opened fire near the Navy Yard-Ballpark metro station.

A male teenage suspect was arrested and a firearm was recovered at the scene amid a massive response from various local and federal agencies.
There were no injuries reported.

Metropolitan Police (MPDC) immediately declared a new curfew for Navy Yard that will be in place until Wednesday night for anyone 17 years old and under.
“This Juvenile Curfew Zone will be in effect from 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. beginning Sunday, August 10, lasting through Wednesday, August 13, 2025,” MPDC explained in a press release.
On Sunday, President Trump announced a press conference will be held on Monday morning to lay out plans to make the capital city “safer and more beautiful than it ever was before.”

“The Homeless have to move out, IMMEDIATELY. We will give you places to stay, but FAR from the Capital. The Criminals, you don’t have to move out. Were going to put you in jail where you belong,” the President stated.
“It’s all going to happen very fast, just like the Border. We went from millions pouring in, to ZERO in the last few months. This will be easier — Be prepared! There will be no ‘MR. NICE GUY.’ We want our Capital BACK.”
