Federal authorities have responded to the scene of a fatal shooting involving Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers in Maine on Monday morning, according to reports.
The incident unfolded in Biddeford, a small city south of Portland.
“Fellow Biddeford residents and Mainers,” Speaker of the Maine House of Representatives Ryan Fecteau announced on social media.
“This morning a shooting occurred in Biddeford. A person was killed. ICE was involved. State Police and the Department of Public Safety are now on scene to gather details and would expect the FBI to investigate as well.”

Witness footage circulating online appears to show officers administering medical care to an individual lying in the street just feet away from a small sedan and SUV that had apparently collided.

Local authorities have confirmed a “police incident” in the area but additional information remains extremely limited.
