An illegal alien has been arrested for sexually abusing and possibly raping a pre-teen child in Iowa, according to authorities.

On May 1, Wilson Erwin Elverildo Choc Cuc was taken into custody amid an investigation into heinous crimes allegedly committed against an 11-year-old girl in Stuart, a small city in Adair County with fewer than 2,000 residents as of 2020.

The incident unfolded on Apr. 28 at Choc Cuc’s apartment, according to court documents reviewed by KCCI.

The victim’s parents reported the attack to authorities the following day and a medical examination of the child indicated she had been severely abused.

“The child was taken to the STAR Center by her parents for examination the following day. The report provided by STAR to Stuart Police explained signs of penetration and secretions found during the exam. The victim also made statements indicating Choc Cuc had touched her and had intercourse with her,” the Creston News Advertiser reports.

Choc Cuc was charged with second-degree sexual abuse and providing false identifying information to law enforcement after he initially claimed to be 16 years old.

“Mr. Choc Cuc, a Guatemalan national, is believed to be residing in the United States illegally. During an interview with investigators, the suspect admitted to committing the offense,” the Stuart Police Department explained in a press release.

The Guatemalan is being held at Adair County Jail.

Additional details about this case remain limited.
