Federal authorities descended on a Hawaiian island to arrests dozens of suspected illegal aliens, at least two of whom have been linked to Tren de Aragua, according to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
A slew of federal agencies participated in Wednesday’s operation on Kauai, including ICE, DHS, HSI, FBI, IRS, DEA, NOAA, U.S. Marshals, and U.S. Coast Guard (USCG).
“A total of 44 arrests were made including two suspected associates of the foreign terrorist organization Tren de Aragua,” DHS explained in a statement.
Some of those arrested worked for a cleaning company that services the hospitality industry, according to local media.
“Our office has also been informed that federal authorities conducted activities on the island earlier today. To clarify, KPD is not involved as this is a federal-led operation,” Kauai Police Department spokeswoman Tiana Victorino told Kauai Now News.
DHS raids have finally come to the Hawai'i on the island of Kauai. This morning at 4a there was a massive raid detaining 44 gang members of Tren de Aragua. There are thousands of illegal aliens here, so expect many more raids. pic.twitter.com/fnjx6gKZXo

The detainees were reportedly flown by USCG to a federal detention center on the island of Oahu.
“A raid that nets 40-plus detainees on a small island tells you ICE had solid intelligence about immigration violations and this wasn’t just a random sweep,” retired FBI agent Tom Simon told Hawaii News Now.
InfoWars frequently reports on the nefarious activities of Tren de Aragua, which the Trump administration has designated as a Foreign Terrorist Organization.
