An illegal alien from India is facing a slew of charges for allegedly killing his teenage girlfriend and their unborn child in a high-speed crash while evading law enforcement in Ohio.
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) just released an immigration background for Tarsem Singh, a 33-year-old Indian national who has been behind bars since February.
On Feb. 16, a Darke County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO) deputy reportedly clocked Singh driving more than 100 mph in a Range Rover Velar and attempted to pull him over.
Singh reportedly led authorities on a pursuit for more than five miles at speeds approaching 125 mph before colliding head-on with a Jeep Cherokee.
Singh’s pregnant girlfriend, 17-year-old Ashlee Holmes, was ejected from the Range Rover and suffered fatal injuries, as did their unborn baby.
The driver of the Jeep was also injured.
Singh was treated at a local hospital before being taken into custody and charged with aggravated vehicular homicide, reckless homicide, involuntary manslaughter, aggravated vehicular assault, and failure to comply with order or signal of a police officer.

“She was crying. She was screaming. She was terrified,” said Ashlee’s sister, who was speaking to her on the phone during the chase.
“I screamed at him to stop, and then she screamed and I heard a crash.”

He is currently being held at Darke County Jail on $1 million bond.
“This is yet another tragic reminder of why illegal aliens should not be driving cars on America’s roads,” said DHS Acting Assistant Secretary Lauren Bis.
“A 17-year-old woman and her unborn child are now dead as a result of this illegal alien’s reckless actions. We have lodged an arrest detainer with Ohio authorities to ensure this illegal alien is never released and allowed back behind the wheel to put more innocent lives at risk.”
Illegal alien drivers continue to destroy American lives on a near-daily basis.
