The Pyramid of the Moon in Teotihuacan, Mexico, was the site of a deadly hostage situation on Monday.
Several victims were shot, including a Canadian woman who died.
The gunman eventually turned his weapon on himself during a shootout with police and was pronounced dead at the scene.
More than a dozen were wounded, either by being shot or falling. Thirteen foreign tourists were taken to the hospital: six Americans, three Colombians, two Brazilians, one Russian and another Canadian. Their ages ranged from six to 61.

Were foreigners being targeted?
“You who have come from f**king Europe are not going back. If you move, I’ll sacrifice you. See? I keep my word,” the gunman reportedly stated in Spanish.
