NFL Quarterback Injured During Mugging in Dublin City Center Amid Migrant Crime Wave

An NFL quarterback is recovering from injuries sustained when he was attacked and robbed by a “number of males” before an international contest this weekend in Ireland, according to reports.

Skylar Thompson, a backup quarterback with the Pittsburgh Steelers, was out and about on Friday evening in Temple Bar, a top nightlife and tourist destination in Dublin city center, when he was assaulted.

Thompson’s phone was stolen and he was briefly hospitalized with minor injuries before rejoining the team, the Irish Independent reports.

“We are aware of a situation involving Skylar Thompson on Friday night in Dublin. We will have no further comment at this time as we are working with NFL security to gather more information regarding the incident,” Steelers Spokesman Burt Lauten told the NFL Network.

Thompson is currently on injured reserve but traveled with his team for the NFL’s first international matchup in Ireland, which saw the Steelers pitted against the Minnesota Vikings in Croke Park on Sunday.

“We are aware of the incident involving Skylar Thompson in Ireland and are relieved to know he is okay. The NFLPA is actively gathering more information and working to understand the full circumstances surrounding what took place,” the NFL Players Association announced in response to the attack.

“As always, our priority is the health and safety of our player members — especially as we continue to work on player protections and well-being while playing international games — and we will continue to support Skylar in any way he needs.”

Crime and insecurity in Dublin have exploded in recent years amid a surge of Third World migrants imported by the Irish government as a key part of Project Ireland 2040, which forecasts a national population of more than 6 million in 15 years — up from around 4.5 million in 2010, when Dublin was considered one of the safest cities in the world.

MMA superstar and prospective Irish presidential candidate Conor McGregor unloaded on Ireland’s government during a visit to the White House in March, warning that his home country is being intentionally destroyed by mass migration.

“What is going on in Ireland is a travesty. Our government is the government of zero action with zero accountability,” McGregor stated. “The illegal immigration racket is running ravage on the country. There are rural towns in Ireland that have been overrun in one swoop. They have become a minority in one swoop.”

“Issues need to be addressed. And 40 million Irish Americans need to hear this, because if not, there will be no place to come home and visit.”
