NYPD Arrests Guatemalan ‘Migrant’ for Brutal Rape at Knifepoint

A ‘migrant’ from Guatemala has been arrested for raping a woman at knifepoint in New York City last weekend, according to reports.

The horrifying ambush unfolded at around 3 a.m. on April 11 in Queens.

The 50-year-old victim was walking home in the Jamaica neighborhood when a man grabbed her from behind and pressed a blade into her side, according to court documents reviewed by the New York Post.

The suspect then “displayed a knife and proceeded to forcibly rape her,” NYPD says.

The victim managed to call a relative during the attack, but the suspect grabbed her mobile phone and knocked her to the ground.

The relative reportedly arrived at the scene while the rape was still in-progress and began screaming for help, prompting the suspect to flee on foot.

The victim was hospitalized in stable condition and NYPD began searching for a Hispanic suspect photographed wearing a hoodie depicting a character from a horror movie brandishing a bloody knife.

On Tuesday night, the NYPD Special Victims Unit arrested 20-year-old Rody R. Morales Cu.

On Thursday, he was arraigned on charges of first-degree rape and sexual abuse.

“Sources say Morales Cu hails from Guatemala, though his immigration status was not immediately clear Thursday,” the Post reports.
