Operation Tidal Wave: Nearly 800 Illegals Rounded Up in Florida

SHARE:

Federal authorities teamed up with local law enforcement to arrest nearly 800 illegal aliens during the first four days of “Operation Tidal Wave” this week in Florida.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) touted the “first-of-its-kind partnership between state and federal partners,” which was spearheaded by ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations Miami.

Hundreds of illegal aliens, many with serious criminal histories, were rounded up across the Sunshine State during the “massive” ongoing immigration enforcement campaign, including:

  • Members of MS-13 – a Foreign Terrorist Organization
  • Members the 18th Street gang
  • A Russian national with an Interpol Red Notice for manslaughter
  • A Colombian illegal who has been convicted of homicide in his home country
  • Gang members who have repeatedly entered the U.S. illegally after being removed

Other agencies assisting Operation Tidal Wave include the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Customs and Border Protection, Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission, Florida Department of Law Enforcement, and Florida Highway Patrol.

“This is a warning to all criminal illegal aliens: We’re coming for you. DHS, ICE, and our state partners will hunt you down, arrest and deport you. That’s a promise,” DHS Secretary Kristi Noem vowed on Saturday.

More than 150,000 illegal aliens have been apprehended in the U.S. since President Trump took office.
