Two female pedestrians were killed by illegal aliens from Angola in separate incidents just miles apart last weekend in Maine.
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) just announced that two suspects from the African nation have been arrested after fatal collisions just a day apart in the Pine Tree State.
On Friday afternoon, 74-year-old Elizabeth Camacho was walking near City Hall in Lewiston when a vehicle hopped a curb and struck her.
Camacho was flown to Maine Medical Center in Portland where she succumbed to her injuries.
Lionel Francisco, 31, and a passenger were both taken into custody by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
Francisco, who was driving on a learner’s permit, was found to be illegally present in the U.S. after overstaying a tourist visa that expired on July 30, 2025.
“The local jurisdiction is not [pursuing] any criminal charges despite the death of an innocent American,” DHS stated.
Local authorities refused to press charges in either case so ICE intervened. Imagine what Maine would be like without Angolan diversity? https://t.co/xcJo0HiNri pic.twitter.com/EKFRnl06kG

On Saturday, 64-year-old Stracy Strattard was fatally run over while crossing a road in New Gloucester, just 10 miles from Lewiston.
The driver was identified as 49-year-old Mukendi Mbiya, an illegal alien from Angola who was residing in Lewiston.
Mbiya entered the U.S. on a B-2 tourist visa in December of 2018 but failed to department by June of 2019 and has living illegally in country ever since.
Both Angolans are now in ICE custody.
“It seems to be almost a daily occurrence where an illegal alien driving kills innocent Americans. All of these deaths are preventable because these illegal aliens should have NEVER been in our country,” said DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin.
“These two illegal aliens in Maine came to the country on B-2 tourist visas that allowed them to remain in the country for six months. Both overstayed their visas and never left the U.S. President Trump and Secretary Noem are committed to restoring integrity to our visa programs to ensure they are not exploited by illegal aliens as one-way tickets to remain in the U.S.”
