Penske is facing backlash after chastising the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) for using their rental trucks to conduct targeted immigration enforcement in Los Angeles this week.
On Wednesday morning, Fox News correspondent Matt Finn published footage shot from inside a cargo truck full of U.S. Border Patrol (USBP) agents executing Operation Trojan Horse.
“DHS arrives in Penske trucks at a Home Depot in McArthur Park area of LA for early morning immigration enforcement. The area was filled with migrants who scattered. DHS says MS 13 has a chokehold on this area, which is one reason they’re carrying out the highly optic immigration raids. 16 taken into custody,” Finn wrote on social media.

Finn also posted a video showing a USBP agent marching two small men towards a Penske truck parked in a shopping center.

Finn’s reporting instantly garnered significant attention — including from Penske.
Barely 90 minutes after the videos were posted, the transportation and logistics giant released a statement on the matter on X.
“Penske strictly prohibits the transportation of people in the cargo area of its vehicles under any circumstances. The company was not made aware that its trucks would be used in today’s operation and did not authorize this. Penske will reach out to DHS and reinforce its policy to avoid improper use of its vehicles in the future,” the company said.
Penske’s post has racked up as many views as Finn’s, with many users citing examples of the company’s vehicles being used in human smuggling and trafficking operations — none of which apparently prompted a public response.
In 2023, Texas authorities busted an illegal alien smuggling 58 fellow illegals in a Penske truck in El Paso.

In 2022, the Kimble County Sheriff’s Office arrested a suspect smuggling 11 illegals inside a Penske truck in central Texas.
In 2021, USBP scanned a Penske truck at a checkpoint near Laredo and located five illegal aliens inside.

“By issuing this statement regarding lawful actions by ICE, but not issuing a similar statement when people, including children, were trafficked in Penske Trucks, you have conceded that you are a co-conspirator to human trafficking. RICO indictment forthcoming,” Mike Cernovich wrote in reply to Penske.
Interestingly, company founder Roger Penske was awarded a Presidential Medal of Freedom by President Donald Trump in 2019.
DHS says 16 individuals were taken into custody during Wednesday’s raid, which took place in MacArthur Park, a hotbed for criminal illegal aliens and MS-13 gang activity.
