An illegal alien who was previously removed from the U.S. has been arrested for sexually assaulting multiple underage girls over the past five years in Tennessee, authorities say.
On Sept. 26, Youth Services detectives with the Metro Nashville Police Department interviewed a man accused of sexually assaulting three different victims under the age of 18.
Oscar Armando Lara, 57, reportedly admitted to all three incidents and was booked into the Downtown Detention Center on two charges of aggravated sexual battery on a minor under 13 and one charge of sexual battery without consent.
In June, Lara allegedly touched a 17-year-old girl inappropriately and “tried to kiss her” while her family was staying at his home, according to an arrest affidavit reviewed by WSMV.
When the girl alerted her family members about the attack, her younger sister came forward with claims about a similar assault in 2024 when she was 12-years-old.
The girl said Lara had “made her sit down next to him and then began rubbing her leg.”
“He then grabbed her chin and began kissing her on her face” using his tongue, according to the affidavit.
Investigators learned Lara was also accused of assaulting a much younger girl in 2020.
“In March of 2020, Lara allegedly called a 9-year-old inside from playing with other kids and touched her inappropriately. The girl told her parents that he instructed her ‘not to tell anyone what he was doing to her,’” WSMV reports.
“That child also ‘corroborated all statements she previously made’ when she was interviewed a few weeks later by the Nashville Children’s Alliance.”
It is unclear if Lara was investigated or charged in the 2020 assault.
Lara is being held on $115,000 bond and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has filed a detainer request with the Davidson County Jail.
“The 57-year-old El Salvadorian was ordered removed in July 1996 by an immigration judge in New York and removed to El Salvador in October 2002,” an ICE spokesperson told Border Hawk on Thursday.

Earlier this week, Rep. Andy Ogles (R-TN) highlighted the case against Lara, calling for the National Guard to be sent into the sanctuary city of Nashville.
“The media is calling him a ‘Nashville man.’ The only thing ‘Nashville’ about him is that [Mayor] Freddie O’Connell is fighting to keep illegals like him in the city. Send in the Guard,” Rep. Ogles wrote on X.
