Texas Border Sheriff Warns of “Uptick” in Illegal Crossings as Post-Election Surge Looms

A sheriff on the Texas frontier warns illegal crossings are on the rise amid concerns about a post-election border blitz.

Terrell County Sheriff Thaddeus Cleveland posted a photo of three Mexican illegals his deputies apprehended on Wednesday night.

“We’ve seen an uptick of activity and more groups are staging south along the river,” he wrote on X.

Sheriff Cleveland has shared information about multiple groups of illegals arrested in his county this week alone.

Interestingly, virtually all of the illegal crossers have been Mexican citizens.

“Sanderson Border Patrol Agents, Texas Military Department and the Terrell County Sheriff’s Office Operation Lone Star Deputy worked several groups last night. Below are photos of two groups apprehended and all were from Hidalgo, Mexico. Other groups continue to be tracked,” Sheriff Cleveland wrote in another post on Wednesday.

In November, Gov. Greg Abbott revealed Texas is preparing to confront “potential mass migration events” along the southern border.

“Under Operation Lone Star, Texas National Guard soldiers continue to prepare and train for potential mass migration events along the Texas-Mexico border,” Gov. Abbott stated.

“In El Paso, Texas National Guard soldiers are conducting mass migration response exercises along with state and local law enforcement to ensure they are ready to deter and repel any mass illegal immigration attempt.”

InfoWars will continue to monitor this situation as it develops.
