A prominent conservative attorney has intervened to assist an independent journalist who was reportedly robbed in Minneapolis by Somalians who then dragged him with their getaway vehicle.
On Sunday, reporter Cam Higby posted footage of a group of masked militants surrounding a vehicle in which he was riding with fellow reporter Nick Sortor.
While both men were recording the confrontation from inside their truck, a Somalian woman allegedly ripped Sortor’s camera out of his hands and jumped into a red Kia sedan.

Sortor pursued the woman, but as he attempted to open the Kia to retrieve his property, the driver sped down a snowy sidewalk with Sortor’s hand stuck in the door handle.
A black male can be seen trying to pull Sortor away from the Kia as it drags him away.

Sortor managed to extricate himself and walked back with a bloodied hand as extremists surrounded him and Higby, screaming at them and calling them “Nazis.”
Yep! The one that no longer has a driver’s side door handle 🤣 pic.twitter.com/v9oNjQ5H24

Footage of the life-threatening robbery quickly went viral, attracting the attention of Mike Davis, founder of the Article III Project and former Chief Counsel for Nominations for the Senate Judiciary Committee.
Davis obtained Sortor’s Venmo information and told him he sent enough money to cover two new cameras.
“Don’t get killed over your next stolen camera. But never back down,” Davis cautioned.
Done.
I sent you enough for two cameras.
Don't get killed over your next stolen camera.
But never back down.

In an interview with Border Hawk last year, Davis warned that ICE agents or supporters of immigration law enforcement could be killed if officials allow insurrections to continue in sanctuary jurisdictions.
