An illegal alien was shot by federal immigration officers in Austin, Texas, according to reports.
The incident unfolded just before 1 p.m. on Sunday afternoon on the north side of the capital city.
Bystanders told local media they heard gunshots near a US 183 overpass and encountered Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers at the scene.
Law enforcement cordoned off an area near a damaged Toyota Corolla where the shooting reportedly took place.
Purported witness footage appears to show shots being fired following a vehicle collision.

“From what I’m hearing, there was a small foot pursuit,” Austin Police Chief Lisa Davis stated during an ensuing press conference.

The subject who was shot is an illegal alien from Venezuela with a final order of removal, DHS sources say.

He has reportedly been hospitalized in serious but stable condition with a gunshot wound to the torso.
