Hundreds of ATV riders flooded the outskirts of Washington, D.C. this weekend before many penetrated the nation’s capital in an apparent challenge to the federal government’s clampdown on lawlessness in the city.
On Saturday night, more than 200 individuals on dirt bikes, 4-wheelers, and electric scooters and mopeds swarmed the streets of Prince George’s County, MD, which abuts the District of Columbia.
Many of those riders eventually entered D.C., breaking various traffic laws in the process.

“Why would the world be worse off if we allowed citizens to have letter of marque, declaring themselves beyond the law – meaning they can do as they will to these criminals, and likewise, the criminals could attack letter holders without legal retribution?” mused prominent commentator Mike Cernovich after watching footage of the blitz, which was likely coordinated ahead of time.
Crime in Washington, D.C. has plunged since the Trump administration launched a crackdown two weeks ago.
However, just hours before President Trump announced the historic operation, hundreds of ‘youths’ descended upon the posh D.C. neighborhood of Navy Yard to wreak havoc on two-wheel vehicles.
During the melee, a teen suspect discharged a firearm but was quickly arrested after striking no one.
