A pair of human smuggling suspects — one of whom is a Mexican teenager — were arrested following a dangerous pursuit that ended when they slammed into a tractor-trailer in Texas, authorities say.
On Friday, the Texas Department of Public Safety (TxDPS) released footage of a bust that unfolded on Nov. 17 in Webb County.
The driver of a GMC Acadia led TxDPS troopers on a high-speed chase along FM-1472.

The suspect can be seen swerving through traffic on the busy roadway, putting other motorists at great risk.
As the driver attempted to bypass vehicles stopped at a red light by speeding through a turn lane, he lost control of the SUV in the intersection and crashed into a tractor-trailer.
The driver, Diego Hernandez Piña of Laredo, TX, was immediately apprehended, along with three illegal aliens in the back seat.
“A 15-year-old illegal immigrant, identified as the smuggling guide from Mexico, attempted to flee but was quickly arrested,” TxDPS says.
Piña and the teen guide were charged with felony smuggling of persons, while the three illegals were turned over to U.S. Border Patrol.
Illegal border crossings have plunged to historic lows under the Trump administration.
