WATCH: Texas Police Bust Illegal Alien Crossing Border With 3-Year-Old Child

SHARE:

An incursion by illegal aliens in Texas this week led to the capture of three foreign nationals, including a toddler.

On Thursday, a Texas Department of Public Safety (TxDPS) remote drone operator detected three illegals crossing the Rio Grande into Hidalgo County during the early morning hours.

A TxDPS trooper, working alongside U.S. Border Patrol (USBP) agents, tracked the group down and encountered a woman laying on the ground while clutching a 3-year-old child that she claimed was her own.

An adult male was located nearby and all three were taken into custody.

The man claimed to be from Guanajuato, Mexico, while the woman stated that she and the child were from Zacatecas, Mexico.

“During the interview, the mother was found wearing six colored wristbands on each wrist. She stated the wristbands were placed on her in Mexico to cover her and her child for crossing the Rio Grande,” TxDPS spokesman Lt. Chris Olivarez explained in a statement.

“This is a common cartel tactic used to mark payment amounts and designated crossing areas between the ports of entry.”

In 2024, we reported that law enforcement working near the border were finding wrist bands typically used by cartels to signify key details about ‘migrant clients,’ such as whether or not they had paid their dues and where they were clear to travel and cross into the U.S.

Illegal border crossings have plunged to historic lows under the Trump administration.
