Delia Ramirez is a member of Congress representing the Third District of Illinois.
Ramirez recently spoke at the “Panamerican Congress” in Mexico City, a gathering of leftist legislators from eight countries in the Western Hemisphere.
“I’m a proud Guatemalan before I’m an American,” she declared at that confab — in Spanish.
I guess we should take her word for it.
Delia Ramirez is a grown-up anchor baby, the daughter of an illegal alien mother who was pregnant with her when they illegally crossed the Rio Grande.
After Delia was first elected, I wrote an article about her entitled, “Anchor Baby Married To DREAMer Elected To Congress. What Do You Suppose Her Big Cause Is Going To Be?”
Sure enough, Delia has earned an F- from NumbersUSA, which means she’s very bad on immigration.
In May, she pulled off the stunt of handing Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem a letter demanding her immediate resignation.
Rep. Ramirez made her priorities crystal clear in Mexico City. Fellow attendees from the U.S. included Squad congresswomen Ilhan Omar (D-MN) and Rashida Tlaib (D-MI).
At this conference, on foreign soil, Rep. Ramirez declared a preference for her Guatemalan identity over her U.S. citizenship.
“I’m a Guatemalan with much pride before I’m an American,” she stated.

I think it’s important to get the context of these short viral video clips, so I found the source video:
Rep. Ramirez delivered an eight-minute address, mostly in English, though simultaneously overdubbed in Spanish.
I found that she actually did say what she’s accused of saying, but there’s even more to her speech.
Right after her greeting, she got right to the point: “It’s very good to be with you all, especially because I am here today with the leaders and champions who are leading the resistance against fascism and the attack on our immigrants.”
She asserted she is both Guatemalan and American, and celebrated the assembled as leaders who “defend the immigrant regardless of borders.”
Rep. Ramirez switched to Spanish, explaining she was “saying some words in Spanish because I am Guatemalan (with much pride) before I am American.”
I’m sure that our readers would be disappointed if I didn’t quote her grand finale, so here is how she concluded her oration:
“And here, representing the progressives, the champions of the left in the Congress of the United States, we are here saying that we shall return to that fight every day in the United States so that the United States will understand that it only advances due to the immigrant and the relationships of equality and equity we have with you all.”
“Therefore, we are going to continue working for a much more just, peaceful and loving world, that honors our shared humanity because we know that it is possible to be the light in the darkness. And there is much darkness now where we are, but let us be fountains of hope, let us be bonds of evil, and let us be the organism that brings liberty to everyone, and that means Palestine also.”
Remember, Delia Ramirez is an elected member of the U.S. House of Representatives speaking in a foreign forum.
At least we can’t accuse her of being inconsistent. She’s been proclaiming the same doctrines since before she entered Congress.
Delia Ramirez is a poster child for automatic birthright citizenship for children of illegal aliens and dual citizenship.
Thank you, Delia, for your vivid example of why citizenship reform is so necessary.
