A group of illegal aliens who refused to disembark from a deportation flight to Africa were flown onward to Equatorial Guinea, according to reports.
The Trump administration just delivered its first batch of illegals to Liberia under a new deal that enables the U.S. government to deport up to 1,200 citizens of countries in Africa, North and South America, and the Caribbean.
A plane carrying 20 deportees touched down in Monrovia on Thursday, however, five subjects rejected efforts to remove them from the aircraft, sources tell Reuters.
The ‘migrants’ — who were identified as three Cuban males, a Brazilian male, and a Cameroonian female — were allegedly told they would be flown back to the U.S.
Instead, the plane continued to Equatorial Guinea, another African country that has signed similar agreements with U.S.
The five deportees were “forced to disembark against their will,” Reuters reports.
There are reportedly around 40 former illegal aliens who are being held in a hotel in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea.
A Department of Homeland Security spokesperson said all ‘migrants’ aboard the Liberia-bound flight were “deported to a safe third country.”
“If a judge finds an illegal alien has no right to be in this country, we are going to remove them. Period.”
