Border Patrol Catches Nearly 700 Illegals With Criminal Convictions in One Month

U.S. Border Patrol (USBP) agents have apprehended hundreds of illegal aliens with serious criminal histories in the past month alone.

On Friday, USBP Chief Jason Owens revealed more than 650 illegals with criminal convictions have been busted in just one month, with most apprehensions presumably occurring at or near U.S. borders.

He listed some of the crimes which those illegal have committed, including homicide, sexual assault, weapons trafficking, assault, burglary, and DUI.

Chief Owens occasionally highlights criminal illegals arrested by USBP.

“U.S. Border Patrol agents in Arizona apprehended a Mexican national, Bernardo Luque Verdugo, a repeat offender and convicted aggravated felon with a history of violent felonies including murder, assault, drug possession, and multiple illegal reentries. This convicted aggravated felon and repeat offender will be removed,” explained in a social media post featuring a photo of Verdugo on Friday.

More than 2,000 illegals convicted of homicide, assault, possession of a controlled substance, or illegal reentry have been caught by USBP since Oct. 1, and it is likely many more slipped into the country undetected during that same period.

Earlier this month, an MS-13 gangbanger removed from the U.S. just weeks prior was caught sneaking back in among a group of illegals being smuggling into New Mexico via tractor-trailer.

More than 115 illegal alien gang members have been apprehended by USBP agents since Oct. 1.

Authorities continue to catch dangerous foreign criminals illegally present in the U.S.
