In a background call with Florida officials, it was explained the following will be pushed for the state legislature to pass in order to help Trump’s crackdown on illegal immigration:
-Expand state law that allows transportation of illegal immigrants within the U.S. to include transportation back to country of origin.
-Remittances: Require companies who transfer money overseas to verify proof of U.S. citizenship.
-Appoint a state immigration enforcement officer who will work with agencies at the state and federal level.
-Use available state facilities to detain illegal immigrants.
-Require a percentage of local law enforcement to be trained to be perform immigration duties in coordination with federal officers.
-Sentence enhancements for illegal immigrants who vote in elections.
-Have illegal immigrants who are arrested be automatically presumed to be a flight risk so it is harder to make bail pre-trial.
