An illegal alien has been arrested following an assault on a federal immigration officer in Oklahoma, authorities say.
On Tuesday, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers detained illegal alien Jose Melgar-Rivas in Oklahoma City.
While preparing to take him into custody, the 34-year-old Honduran gunned the van he was driving, dragging an agent for nearly a block before escaping on foot.
ICE shared photographs of significant road rash and bruising injuries the officer suffered to his arm and leg.
