Illegal Aliens Arrested in Murder of Suspect’s Guatemalan Girlfriend in Maryland

The brutal murder of a Guatemalan woman in Maryland has led to the arrest of her boyfriend and his uncle, both of whom are illegal aliens, according to reports.

On Apr. 17, authorities located the body of Lesbia Mileth Ramirez Guerra, a 23-year-old woman who went missing from her home in Waldorf, MD, on Mar. 31.

Ramirez Guerra’s boyfriend, 24-year-old Keycy Robinson Alexi Barrera Rosa, reported her missing on Apr. 2 and the Charles County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) launched a search lasting more than two weeks.

The victim’s body was eventually discovered buried in a wooded area near Cedarville State Forest in Prince George’s County, MD.

Investigators say the burial had been “methodical,” explaining that the suspects dug a deep hole and used old dirt on the top layer.

Detectives immediately obtained an arrest warrant for Barrera Rosa who was arrested out of state and charged with murder.

Barrera Rosa is in ICE custody at the Farmville Detention Center in Virginia while awaiting extradition to Charles County.

“Detectives with the Prince George’s County Police Department charged Rosa’s uncle, Rolvin Eduardo Barerra Barerra, 37, of Waldorf, as an accessory for actions he took in Prince George’s County following her murder. Barrera was arrested and is being held without bond at the Charles County Detention Center,” CCSO explained in a press release.

Piecing together information obtained via cell phone records and suspect interviews, investigators believe Barrera Rosa strangled Ramirez Guerra to death and then requested help from his uncle to dispose of her body.

Surveillance footage from a grocery store in Brandywine apparently shows the men purchasing a shovel on Apr. 1.

Barrera Barrera was charged with one felony count of being an accessory after the fact to first-degree murder and one misdemeanor count of altering physical evidence.

The uncle and nephew are both citizens of Guatemala who illegally crossed the southern border together in April of 2019 near El Paso, TX.

Both men were apprehended by U.S. Border Patrol, issued notices to appear before federal immigration judges in the future, and released into the interior.

“The arrest of these two individuals marks a significant step towards justice,” said ICE Baltimore acting Field Office Director Vernon Liggins.

“This heinous crime not only devastated a community but also reinforced the urgent need to prioritize public safety by identifying, arresting, and removing egregious illegal aliens who threaten our neighborhoods.”

Ramirez Guerra, a mother of two, was also a Guatemalan alien, but her immigration status remains unclear.

Authorities continue to catch dangerous foreign criminals in the U.S.
