Illegal aliens with nightmarish rap sheets are being captured daily amid a historic enforcement surge in the sanctuary state of Minnesota.
More than 1,500 illegals have been arrested so far during Operation Metro Surge, the “largest immigration operation ever,” according to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Acting Director Todd Lyons.
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) launched the campaign last month, focusing primarily on the Twin Cities region, where dangerous aliens have been allowed to wreak havoc for years.
“ICE has provided Fox News a list of the most egregious criminal aliens they’ve arrested during their surge in the sanctuary state of Minnesota, & it’s the most disturbing list I’ve ever seen, including numerous convicted child rapists/sodomizers & ten convicted killers, most with deportation orders going back many years. Several from Laos, Somalia, and Sudan,” stated Fox News correspondent Bill Melugin.
Some of the most barbaric illegals captured in the last few weeks include the following:
- Hernan Cortes-Valencia, Mexico. Convictions for child sexual assault, sexual assault-carnal abuse, and four DUIs. Ordered deported in 2016.
- Sriudorn Phaivan, Laos. Convictions for strongarm sodomy of a boy, strongarm sodomy of a girl, another aggravated sex offense, nine counts of larceny, unauthorized use of a vehicle, four counts of fraud, vehicle theft, two counts of drug possession, obstructing justice, possession of stolen property, receiving stolen property, burglary, check forgery. Ordered deported in 2018 and has other serious charges pending.
- Ge Yang, Laos. Convictions for strongarm rape, strongarm aggravated assault against a family member, aggravated assault with a weapon, an additional sex offense, domestic violence involving strangulation. Ordered deported in 2012.
- Vannaleut Keomany, Laos. Convictions for two counts of attempting to commit strongarm rape. Ordered deported in 2009.
- Tou Vang, Laos. Convictions for sexual assault and sodomy of a girl under the age of 13, procuring a child for prostitution. Ordered deported in 2006.
- Chong Vue, Laos. Convictions for strongarm rape of a 12-year-old girl, kidnapping a child with intent to sexually assault her, vehicle theft. Ordered deported in 2004.
- Kou Lor, Laos. Convictions for sexual assault, rape, rape with a weapon, statutory rape without force, two counts of burglary, shoplifting. Ordered deported in 1996.
- Pao Choua Xiong, Laos. Convictions for rape, fondling a child, two counts of domestic violence, burglary, larceny, disorderly conduct. Ordered deported in 2003.
- Gilberto Salguero Landaverde, El Salvador. Convictions for three counts of homicide. Ordered deported in 2025.
- Mariama Sia Kanu, Sierra Leone. Convictions for two counts of homicide, four DUIs, three counts of larceny, burglary. Ordered deported in 2022.
- Abdirashid Adosh Elmi, Somalia. Convicted of homicide.
“Regardless of staged political theatrics, ICE is going to continue to arrest the worst of the worst criminal illegal aliens in Minnesota and elsewhere,” said Director Lyons.
“Some of these criminal aliens have had final orders of removal for 30 years, but they’ve been free to terrorize Minnesotans. ICE’s arrests prevent recidivism and make communities safer, but it feels like local politicians want to ignore that part and drum up discontent rather than protect their own constituents.”

Roughly 2,000 federal agents have been unleashed in Minnesota and another 1,000 are either being deployed or are on standby amid expanding investigations and aggressive resistance from officials and militants on the ground.
