A coach bus transporting dozens of illegal aliens broke down near the border in West Texas this week, authorities say.

On Tuesday, a large group of illegal border crossers were being transported to a Customs and Border Protection processing center in Alpine when the bus carrying them was forced to pull over due to mechanical issues.

In total, 47 illegals hailing mostly from Venezuela were transferred to smaller Border Patrol vehicles at the scene and driven onward.

Terrell County Sheriff’s Office (TCSO) deputies say there were 37 adult males in the group and 10 females.

“Over the last month or so, we have begun to see more buses like the one pictured above shuttling illegal aliens from Eagle Pass, Texas, to other U.S. Border Patrol (USBP) stations west of Sanderson. This is what we referred to in USBP as ‘farming out,’” Terrell County Sheriff Thaddeus Cleveland told Border Hawk.

“Illegal aliens are dispersed across the border and less busy stations will assist in the processing of those apprehended. I was informed this group was largely Venezuelans. We will continue to see this until President Trump is sworn in and reimplements the Migrant Protection Protocols, also referred to as the ‘Remain in Mexico’ policy.”

Sheriff Cleveland has been warning illegal crossings on are on the rise amid concerns about a post-election border blitz.

“We’ve seen an uptick of activity and more groups are staging south along the river,” he wrote in a post on X last week.
