Tennessee is “easily” home to more than a million illegal aliens, according to Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN).
“You go into our inner cities and see a lot of Hispanic folks that are on the system. I was mayor of Knox County and you see a lot of undocumented folks trying to get into our health department,” Rep. Burchett told Border Hawk when we asked him to assess the illegal alien population in his state.
“They move where the work is or who is going to pay them under the table, so to speak. It’s a moving target.”

Burchett spoke of a school in Knox County where more than 20 languages were spoken among fewer than 500 students – an increasingly common issue facing school systems across the U.S.
