A suspect who may be in the country illegally has been charged with arson after he allegedly set a baby stroller on fire in Pennsylvania last week, according to reports.
The disturbing episode unfolded just after midnight on Jan. 10 in Harrisburg.
Harrisburg police officers were dispatched to a neighborhood in the capital city after a “screaming woman” called 911 then abruptly hung up,
Officers eventually encountered a relative of the caller who informed them an incident had taken place at a nearby residence.
While speaking with the woman who had called 911, authorities learned that her cousin, identified as 23-year-old Immer Reyes-Aguilar, had been drinking and trying to fight her partner.
“The caller, her partner and their children all hid inside a locked bedroom while Reyes-Aguilar set fire to a baby stroller in the living room and also set fire to a hat and water bottle outside the bedroom door,” Penn Live reports, citing a police affidavit.
Reyes-Aguilar was arrested and charged with arson with danger of death or bodily injury.
Additionally, Immigration and Customs Enforcement has lodged a detainer against him, indicating he may be in the U.S. illegally.
