A pair of teenagers were arrested for smuggling illegal aliens in Arizona.
The suspects, both 17-year-old American citizens from New Mexico, were pulled over in a Dodge pickup truck on Saturday after U.S. Border Patrol (USBP) surveillance operators observed suspicious activity in an area known for human smuggling near Palominas, AZ.
Tucson Sector USBP agents discovered three illegal aliens from Mexico hiding in the back seat of the vehicle.
All three had been previously removed from the U.S. although it is unclear if they had criminal records.

The male driver and female passenger were taken into custody and their vehicle was seized, according to Customs and Border Protection (CBP).
The illegals “will be processed for reinstatement of a prior order of removal. Additionally, they will be presented as material witnesses for a human smuggling case against the driver. The female passenger will not face prosecution at this time.”
On the same day, two brothers from Nogales, AZ, were arrested for smuggling illegals in Tucson Sector.
The suspects and seven Mexican nationals were packed into a Ford Fusion when they were pulled over near Nogales, CBP explained in a press release.
Six adults and a juvenile who were illegally present in the U.S. will be processed for removal and the brothers have been charged with human smuggling.
