The Trump administration has captured thousands of illegal aliens in Minnesota, including more than 3,000 in the last six weeks alone, authorities say.
On Monday, the final day of the first year of President Trump’s second term, Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Kristi Noem announced that a disturbing number of criminal illegals have been pulled off the streets of the Twin Cities region, which is comprised of several sanctuary counties.
“We have arrested over 10,000 criminal illegal aliens who were killing Americans, hurting children and reigning terror in Minneapolis because Tim Walz and Jacob Frey refuse to protect their own people and instead protect criminals,” Sec. Noem stated.
“In the last 6 weeks, our brave DHS law enforcement have arrested 3,000 criminal illegal aliens including vicious murderers, rapists, child pedophiles and incredibly dangerous individuals.”

In December, DHS launched Operation Metro Surge, flooding Minnesota with thousands of federal officers and agents.
In addition to enforcement of immigration law, over $19 billion in fraud is being investigated in Minnesota.
DHS is also urging Minnesota authorities to honor federal detainer requests lodged against more than 1,360 criminal illegal aliens who are in state and local custody in jurisdictions across the North Star State.
Sanctuary politicians have allowed nearly 470 criminal illegals with immigration detainers to be released back into Minnesota communities in the past year.

“We are calling on Gov. Tim Walz and Mayor Jacob Frey to stop releasing criminal illegal aliens from Minnesota’s jails to re-perpetuate their crimes,” DHS stated.
“It is common sense. Criminal illegal aliens should not be released back onto our streets to terrorize more innocent Americans.”
