UK: Teen ‘Boat Migrant’ Arrested for Murdering Worker at Hotel Where He Was Staying on Taxpayer Dime

An illegal migrant who arrived to England months ago via ‘small boat’ has been arrested for murdering an employee of the hotel where he was being housed by the U.K. government, according to reports.

The horrifying incident unfolded just after 11 p.m. on Sunday night in Walsall, West Midlands.

Rhiannon Skye Whyte, 27, finished her shift at the Park Inn by Radisson, a hotel now housing ‘asylum seekers,’ and was heading to catch a train when she was attacked at Bescot Stadium station, the Daily Mail reports.

Police were alerted about an injured woman at the station, and they arrived to find Whyte unconscious, suffering from stab wounds inflicted via screwdriver to the back of her neck.

She was rushed to hospital and spent three days on life support before succumbing to her injuries on Wednesday.

Authorities apprehended Deng Chol Majeck, 18, and upgraded his charge to murder following Whyte’s passing.

Chol Majeck reportedly entered the U.K. illegally in July aboard a vessel that crossed the English Channel.

He was a ‘resident’ of the Park Inn at the time of the attack, but all migrants staying at the hotel have since been cleared out.

“No chances are being taken. Residents have been removed from the hotel where Rhiannon worked,” a source told The Sun.

While Chol Majeck’s nationality has not been made public, some social media users have speculated that he may be from South Sudan.

“It is understood a petty row over a packet of biscuits is said to have taken place at the hotel earlier,” The Sun reports.

An investigation and legal proceedings are ongoing.
