A Venezuelan suspect who may be in the country illegally is facing a slew of charges following a mass shooting in Texas that injured six people, including four who were gravely wounded, according to authorities.
The incident unfolded at around 3 a.m. on Sunday in Houston.
Investigators believe Jose Miguel Briceno, 25, discharged a firearm into a “packed” nightclub called Latina’s Sports Bar following a possible confrontation with another patron or employee, KPRC 2 reports.
Six people were struck by gunfire. The victims were both male and female, ranging in age from 21 to 52.
Four of the victims remained in critical condition as of Wednesday, according to the Houston Police Department (HPD), which released surveillance images of the suspects.

The shooter and an accomplice fled the scene in a black Toyota Corolla and remained on the loose until Briceno was apprehended on Tuesday and charged with aggravated assault mass shooting.
Additionally, Immigration and Customs Enforcement has lodged a detainer against Briceno, indicating the Venezuelan may be in the U.S. illegally.
HPD believes the other suspect may have fled to Mexico.
