Demonstrations in Chicago against the Trump administration culminated in mayhem outside a federal immigration facility on Saturday night.

Radical leftists began amassing in Grant Park at around noon for the planned Hands Off Chicago / No Kings protest.

Sources on the ground say the dominant theme of the gathering was opposition to immigration law enforcement.

“Our dads and grandpas are being kidnapped for going to work to build to American homes,” a speaker representing The Immigration Project claimed. “Our moms are being kidnapped when they go to the grocery store.”

“This has been the most horrific month of our lives.”

Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson also addressed the crowd, claiming President Trump and his administration have ‘declared war on Chicago and cities across this country’ and calling on attendees to “fight fascism.”

“They have clearly decided they want a rematch of the Civil War,” Mayor Johnson stated.

Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker led marchers as they set off from the park and merged with other protest groups.

Eventually, a mob formed outside the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) processing center in Broadview, located in the Chicago suburbs.

Antifa and other militants defied orders to vacate the area at the onset of a 6 p.m. curfew, prompting county and state law enforcement to forcefully drive the defiant mob away from the facility.

Open borders agitators have been targeting the Broadview facility since the launch of Operation Midway Blitz, which has led to more than 1,500 illegal aliens being apprehended in the Chicago area since Sept. 8.
