A Honduran national who was wanted for sexual assault is now facing human smuggling charges following a pursuit and bail-out in Texas.

The bust unfolded in Laredo on Feb. 12, but the Texas Department of Public Safety (TxDPS) just released footage and information on Friday.

A TxDPS trooper was pulling over a truck tractor for a traffic violation when passengers began jumping out of the vehicle.

“In a multi-agency search, including a 2.6-mile track by DPS K9 Vendi, a total of seven illegal immigrants and the driver were found,” TxDPS explained in a statement.

The driver was identified as 49-year-old Junior Adalid Montoya-Alvarez, a Honduran citizen with legal status in the U.S.

Troopers discovered Montoya-Alvarez was wanted for sexual assault in Harris County, TX.

He was arrested and charged with smuggling of persons.

The illegal aliens, citizens of Mexico and Guatemala, were turned over to Border Patrol.
