A smuggling attempt at the southern border was blown up this week by U.S. authorities after illegals rafted across the Rio Grande into Texas.
The bust unfolded on Sunday in Starr County.
Texas Department of Public Safety (TxDPS) spokesman Lt. Chris Olivarez shared aerial footage showing a coyote escorting a group of illegals across the border river.

The guide can be seen running up the U.S. bank to scout for law enforcement before returning to the water’s edge as the illegals change out of their wet clothes.
Three people can be seen attempting to sneak into a neighborhood before encountering a U.S. Border Patrol (USBP) truck and fleeing back to the river.
Members of the group piled back into the raft and rowed back to Mexico as officers and soldiers from multiple agencies swarmed the area.
One illegal alien was apprehended at the scene and turned over to USBP.
“Gov. Greg Abbott’s Whole of Texas approach leverages the combined efforts of state, federal, & military resources to deny & repel unlawful entry into Texas,” Lt. Olivarez explained in a statement.
“By integrating strategic deterrence, surveillance capabilities, rapid response teams, & enhanced legal measures, the Whole of Texas approach ensures the protection of Texans while upholding the sovereignty & security of the Lone Star State.”
