Large groups of demonstrators expressing support or opposition for U.S.-Israeli military strikes on Iran squared off in Washington, D.C. on Saturday afternoon.
Metropolitan Police and National Guard were dispatched to manage opposing crowds parading through the city and protesting outside the White House.

During a simultaneous anti-Islamization protest in New York City led by activist Jake Lang, suspects reportedly attempted to detonate an improvised explosive device outside Gracie Mansion — the current residence of Mayor Zohran Mamdani — sparking a massive law enforcement response.

“Police identified the suspects as Abraham Nick and Amir Balat, both 18 years old and described as being of Arab descent. Authorities say Amir Balat allegedly yelled ‘Allahu Akbar’ before throwing a device packed with nuts, bolts, and other shrapnel toward Lang,” Viral News NYC reports.

Authorities reportedly recovered two homemade bombs that failed to detonate at the scene.
On Friday night, authorities stormed a Southwest Airlines flight that was diverted to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport following an alleged “bomb threat.”
