The White House has expressed serious concerns about the potential next mayor of New York City, slamming Zohran Mamdani as a “communist” who seeks to defund law enforcement and impede ICE operations.
“The President is always willing to work with everyone, but someone who holds these values and is quite literally a communist, and condemns every value that makes this country great – he is against all of that and the President would find it difficult to work with him,” Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt stated during a briefing on Monday.

When asked if Mamdani should be deported or investigated for potentially lying during his naturalization process, as Rep. Andy Ogles (R-TN) has suggested, Leavitt agreed the Ugandan’s U.S. citizenship should come under scrutiny.
Doocy: "Should Zohran be subject to investigation due to lying about support of terrorism?"
Leavitt: “Surely, if those claims are true, it should be investigated."

“Does President Trump want Zohran Mamdani to be deported?” asked Fox News correspondent Peter Doocy.
“I haven’t heard him call for that, but certainly he does not want this individual to be elected,” Leavitt replied. “His radical policies will completely crush New York City.”
