Police in Texas intercepted a large group of illegal aliens being smuggled in a stolen truck tractor driven by a Mexican citizen.
The bust unfolded earlier this month in La Salle County.
Encinal Police Department (EPD) officers attempted to pull over a big rig reported stolen out of Laredo, TX, but the driver led them on a pursuit on Interstate 35 for roughly five miles.
When the driver finally stopped, officers discovered 17 illegal aliens hiding in the cab of the truck, one of whom escaped on foot.
The driver was identified as Jesus Gutierrez Arredondo of Guanajuato, Mexico.

EPD says all of the subjects were turned over to U.S. Border Patrol, indicating Gutierrez Arredondo may have been in the U.S. illegally.
The 2018 tractor was impounded.
Illegal border crossings have plunged to historic lows under the Trump administration.
