Just a few miles east lies El Paso, TX, where crossings continue to plummet as Governor Abbott surges resources to the border. Migrants are resorting to paying smuggling groups to cross there.
Authorities on the ground are ecstatic about the incoming Trump administration – and the possibility of completing the border wall in Sunland Park.
