Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrested three criminal illegal aliens on June 2 and 3.
The apprehensions were made possible by 287(g) partnerships with local law enforcement.
The 287(g) program allows state and local law enforcement agencies to work directly with ICE to identify, detain, and process removable aliens.
Some states, such as Maryland, Colorado, Illinois, and Maine, have implemented statewide bans on participation in the 287(g) program.
“The arrests demonstrate how state and local law enforcement agencies can make their communities safer by working with ICE and other federal partners,” an ICE spokesperson told Border Hawk.
