A new plane operated by the airline Iberojet has arrived this Wednesday morning at Madrid-Barajas airport with almost 200 illegal immigrants on board. It’s flight number 11 chartered by the Government in just one month after an increase in the execution of this type of operation since the incessant arrival of illegal immigrants to the Canary Islands.

Since last August 14 and according to the internal data of AENA consulted by THE GACETA, the Government has chartered a total of 11 aircraft operated by airlines Air Europa and Iberojet moving more than 2,600 illegal immigrants from the Canary Islands to Madrid-Barajas airport. The last one that took place today.

So far this year there are already almost 27,000 illegal immigrants who have landed in the Canary archipelago, which represents an increase in migratory pressure on the islands of almost 100 percent compared to data from last year. According to AENA sources, in the coming weeks the number of humanitarian flights will increase due to the incessant arrival of illegal immigrants to the Canary Islands.
