State Department Reviewing 55 MILLION Visa Holders for Deportable Violations

The Trump administration is combing through the records of a stunning 55 million foreign citizens who hold U.S. visas, looking for violations that could warrant revocation or removal from the country, according to reports.

“We review all available information as part of our vetting, including law enforcement or immigration records or any other information that comes to light after visa issuance indicating a potential ineligibility,” the State Department told the Associated Press this week.

U.S. authorities are now reviewing “visa holders’ social media accounts, law enforcement and immigration records in their home countries, along with any actionable violations of U.S. law committed while they were in the United States.”

The re-vetting of visa holders comes as welcome news to immigration hawks who were nevertheless stunned by the sheer number of visas being issued to foreign nationals — roughly equal to the combined population of 25 U.S. states.

“55 million on visas. 30 million illegals. 1/4 of your nation isn’t American,” intelligence analyst Andrew McCarthy remarked in a post on X.

“Just imagine what home prices, rents, jobs, wages, insurance rates, hospitals, and traffic would all look like if we didn’t have 55 million visa holders and a [minimum] of 30-40 million illegals in this country,” prominent commentator Greg Price stated.

A federal insider who goes by Hart Celler on X pointed out that not every U.S. visa holder is present in the country at this time.

“Not all 55 million aliens will currently be here. Last fiscal year alone, something like 10.4 million non-immigrant visas (NIVs) were issued, and an NIV can be valid for up to 10 years. There were 68 million NIV admissions in FY 2023,” he explained.

The State Department has already revoked more than 6,000 student visas so far this year.

“Every single student visa revoked under the Trump Administration has happened because the individual has either broken the law or expressed support for terrorism while in the United States,” a senior State Department official told Fox News.

“About 4,000 visas alone have been revoked because these visitors broke the law while visiting our country, including records of assault and DUIs.”

The department is looking for a variety of red flags during the broader re-vetting process, such as visa overstays, criminal charges or convictions, threats to public safety, engaging in terrorist activity, or providing support to a terrorist organization.
